Browlift: Correcting the Forehead's Role in Upper Eyelid Aging
Aging upper eyelids can make many people look tired—even when they are actually full of energy! Sagging brows can contribute to the heaviness of the upper eyelids. A browlift, also known as a forehead lift, can be performed endoscopically (with a tiny video camera, to minimize scarring) or traditionally (to maximize the lift). Both techniques can be crucial adjuncts to the rejuvenation of the upper face.

Malar Augmentation: Cheek Implants
No cheek bones? Don't fret. Augmenting the cheeks is safe and permanent with our own custom-contoured implants. Enhancing cheek prominence not only produces more elegant bone structure but also rejuvenates the mid-face by restoring volume to age-deflated cheeks.

Rhinoplasty: Nose Reshaping
Whether you are concerned by your nose's size, hump, or deviation, a rhinoplasty can shrink, shape, or straighten. No operation requires greater attention to facial harmony or to technical detail. We work with you to offer a personalized, expert approach to reshaping your nose.

Mentoplasty: Chin Implants
A small chin can unbalance an otherwise attractive face: the nose can appear too big, and the neck, too heavy. Sometimes, the best way to make the nose look smaller and the neck appear more elegant is to insert a chin implant. And a stronger jaw line can itself be beautifying.

Otoplasty: Reshaping Prominent Ears
Tired of hearing comments about your "Dumbo" ears? Or are you worried that your child is being taunted on the playground? One of the few cosmetic operations that Dr. Pickart will perform on children, reshaping the ear cartilages can position the ears closer to the scalp. Dr. Pickart takes great satisfaction in restoring a child's confidence.

Lip Augmentation: More Options than just Collagen
Create plump, sexy lips in the office! The newest temporary fillers can let you "try on" Angelina Jolie's lips for six months—without a trip to the operating room. Restylane® and Juvéderm® have virtually replaced collagen since they don't cause allergies and have strong track records of success.

If you want to make the change permanent, Dr. Pickart offers soft, safe, natural-appearing lip implants. Without sedation, he can numb your mouth, and, through tiny incisions, ease the implants into your lips. The result: voluptuous lips—all the time!

Skin Resurfacing with Chemical Peels and Lasers
Concerned about fine wrinkling and sun damage? Abnormal pigmentation? A facelift will probably not treat these conditions. For those signs of aging that a facelift doesn't correct, Dr. Pickart recommends skin resurfacing. Depending upon your unique anatomy and goals, you and Dr. Pickart can decide whether chemical peeling or laser resurfacing will produce the smooth, unblemished texture that you are looking for.

Breast Reconstructions for Breast Cancer Survivors
Dr. Pickart lost his own grandmother to breast cancer, so he has a special interest in breast cancer patients and in women's health. If your breast cancer treatment necessitated a partial or complete mastectomy, breast reconstruction can help make you whole again. Did you know that breast cancer patients who undergo breast reconstruction have less depression and have better odds of beating their cancer?! True!

Dr. Pickart served as an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at Loma Linda University, and has deep knowledge and experience with the full spectrum of breast reconstruction options:

  1. Immediate and delayed reconstructions
  2. Reconstructions for women who have required radiation treatments
  3. Breast implants
  4. Tissue expanders plus implants
  5. Latissimus dorsi myocutaneous flaps plus implants
  6. Transverse rectus abdominis myocutaneous (TRAM) flaps
  7. Microvascular free flaps (free TRAM flaps)
  8. Augmentations, lifts, and reductions on the contralateral, healthy breast
  9. Nipple and areolar reconstructions

Breast Reductions — for Women
Among all plastic surgery patients, women undergoing breast reductions tend to be the happiest. In fact, breast reductions have one of the highest satisfaction rates of any surgery! If you are bothered by breasts that are too big, or breasts that are causing neck pain, upper back pain, shoulder aching, or shoulder indentations, Dr. Pickart recommends breast reduction surgery not only to make the breasts "cuter," but also to relieve aches and pains.

Breast Reductions — for Men
Women are not the only ones who sometimes complain that their chests are too big. Many men are disturbed by abnormal, adolescent breast development—called gynecomastia. For most of these men, ultrasonic liposuction will melt the fat away without the need for long scars.

Buttock Enhancement: Implants and Lifts
Do you admire other women with more "booty"? Do you wish your own buttocks weren't so "flat"? Buttock implants can produce wished-for projection and fullness, and buttock lifts can reduce sagging.

Pectoral Implants / Calf Implants
Sometimes, lifting weights isn't enough. Many men just can't develop the chest definition that they had hoped for. Calves are notoriously difficult to bulk up, even by the most dedicated gym rats. For those who have grown frustrated with a body that isn't responding to hours at the health club, pectoral or calf implants are safe, successful alternatives.

Unlike breast implants, which are round and soft, muscular implants are contoured from firm silicone rubber to mimic the look and feel of well-developed muscles. We customize each implant to your unique anatomy and insert each via inconspicuous incisions.

Labiaplasty: Reducing and Recontouring a Woman's "Lips"
Many women dislike the enlarged, protuberant appearance of their labia minora. This may cause embarrassment with a sexual partner and, in some cases, pain and discomfort. Labiaplasty surgery reduces large labia and corrects asymmetry or irregularities. The goal is to increase self-esteem during a woman's most intimate moments.

Sclerotherapy: Erasing Spider Veins
Lasers are great for getting rid of fine wrinkles, pigmented "spots," and unwanted hair, but lasers remain only second best for eradicating leg veins. For those "spiders" and small varicosities, Dr. Pickart still recommends sclerotherapy. This is a simple, time-honored technique, in which very fine needles insert a special solution (called a sclerosant) into problem veins. After a few sessions, the sclerosant destroys the unsightly veins to produce smoother, unblemished legs.
