Latisse® in Ventura, CA

Dr. Pickart offers Latisse® treatments to the residents of Ventura, Camarillo, and the surrounding areas of California.

Some of us have thinner lashes than others. Whether the result of a medical condition or genes, the thin appearance of eyelashes bothers some people. Latisse® is a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis (inadequate or not enough lashes) to make eyelashes grow longer, fuller, and darker. Dr. Pickart specializes in Latisse®.

How is Latisse® administered in Ventura?

Latisse is a prescription treatment that you take home and apply daily. When applied to the upper lid, Latisse® will lengthen and darken your eyelashes over the coming weeks and months. To apply this medication, first wash your hands and face. Before applying, remove any makeup and contact lenses. Contact lenses may be reinserted 15 minutes after applying this medication.

Place one drop of Latisse® onto the provided applicator. Then immediately draw the applicator carefully across the skin of the upper eyelid margin at the bottom of the eyelashes going from the inner part of your lash line to the outer part. Blot any excess solution and throw away the applicator. Repeat with a new applicator for the other upper eyelid. Do not use on the lower eyelids.

What can I expect after a Latisse® prescription in Ventura?

Latisse® works gradually to thicken, lengthen, and darken the eyelashes. It works best with continued and consistent use. It may take up to 2 months before the full benefits of using this medication are seen.

Latisse® may cause increased brown pigmentation of the colored part of the eye which is likely permanent. Eyelid skin darkening may occur and may be reversible. Only apply at the base of upper lashes. Do not apply to lower lid. Hair may grow on skin that Latisse® frequently touches. If you have eye problems/surgery, be sure to inform Dr. Pickart. Common side effects are itchy and red eyes. If discontinued, lashes gradually return to previous appearance.

How much does a Latisse® prescription cost in Ventura?
